Governance

CIC set up its Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors in accord with China's Company Law. The three governing bodies of CIC are the Board of Directors, the Board of Supervisors and the Executive Committee.

CIC and 5 Japanese Financial Institutions to Jointly Establish a fund for China-Japan Industrial Cooperation

On October 26, 2018, during the First China-Japan Third-Market Cooperation Forum attended by Li Keqiang, Prime Minister of China, and Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, China Investment Corporation's Vice Chairman and President Tu Guangshao, Nomura Holdings' President and Group CEO Koji Nagai, Daiwa Securities Group's President and Group CEO Seiji Nakata, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group's Member of the Board of Directors, President and Group CEO Nobuyuki Hirano, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group's Chairman of the Board Koichi Miyata, and Mizuho Financial Group's Chairman Yasuhiro Sato co-signed Memorandum of Understanding for Strategic Cooperation to establish a fund for China-Japan industrial cooperation (the "Cooperation Fund"). The Cooperation Fund will invest in enterprises of China, Japan and third countries in sectors including manufacturing, communication and media, health care, and consumer goods and services. It aims to deepen China-Japan economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
