Vice-Premier Han Zheng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Anton Siluanov co-chaired the sixth meeting of the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee on Nov 26, 2019. Entrusted by Mr. Peng Chun, Chairman of CIC and China Chair of China-Russia Business Advisory Committee, Vice Chairman and President Ju Weimin of CIC attended and spoke at the meeting.

In his speech, President Ju said that over the past year, CIC and RDIF, its Russian counterpart, guided by the development philosophies of open cooperation and win-win outcomes, advanced the development of China-Russia Business Advisory Committee in all aspects and constantly broadened the network of investment partners.

President Ju pointed out that CIC and RDIF had been cooperating on investment for many years. In 2012, CIC and RDIF co-launched the Russia-China Investment Fund, which had since invested in many key projects as identified by the China-Russia Investment Cooperation Committee and effectively enhanced trade ties and investment cooperation between China and Russia.

President Ju also said that CIC would fully tap into the China-Russia Business Advisory Committee as a platform on the basis of practical cooperation and mutual benefits, so as to join hands with all stake holders to deepen bilateral investment exchanges and cooperation and contribute to the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era.
