CIC 2020 International Advisory Council (IAC) Meeting was held via both online discussion platform and video conference. On November 25, the video conference took place in Beijing and was virtually joined by IAC members.

Peng Chun, Chairman and CEO of CIC, delivered a keynote speech. He elaborated on CIC’s operation and management in 2020, not least the orderly investment business against the backdrop of the pandemic and the measures taken in conjunction with domestic and international partners to combat the pandemic. Chairman Peng also shared CIC’s understanding of the current economic and financial landscapes and views on the cross border investment in the post-pandemic era.

IAC members advised CIC on its development through in-depth discussions on topics including economic revolution and prospects amid changes, investment trends and opportunities in the post-pandemic era, and adapting to the new phase and building institutional investment capabilities.

The IAC, consisting of internationally influential professionals with distinguished backgrounds in governance, business and academia, was established in 2009.

2020 IAC Meeting was chaired by Ju Weimin, Vice Chairman, President and CIO of CIC, and joined either physically or virtually by CIC’s members of the Executive Committee and heads of departments, and representatives of overseas offices, investment teams, and Central Huijin’s holdings.
