CIC Convened 7th International Advisory Council Meeting
23-09-2015CIC held its 7th International Advisory Council (IAC) Meeting in Beijing, China on September 21-22. Mr. Ma Kai, Chinese Vice Premier of the State Council, met with the IAC members. Mr. Ding Xuedong, Chairman & CEO of CIC, made welcoming remarks in the opening session. Mr. Zeng Peiyan, Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, gave a keynote speech. Mr. Jin Liqun, President-Designate of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), delivered an address at the luncheon.

In his opening remarks, Chairman Ding Xuedong expressed heartfelt thanks to the IAC members for their comments and contributions over the past years. He also reviewed CIC's latest investment activities and operational progress, and solicited IAC members' suggestions on CIC's future development.
In his keynote speech, Mr. Zeng Peiyan shared his insights on global economic landscape and China's economic developments, and offered advice on CIC's investment opportunities.

IAC members and CIC senior management exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including macroeconomic and financial outlooks, investment opportunities and portfolio structuring, investment risk identification and management, overseas investment cooperation for Chinese enterprises and CIC's future development strategies.
CIC also hosted five seminars between IAC members and CIC's functional departments to discuss over topics including asset allocation and portfolio management, the political and economic landscape in the U.S. and Europe, the economic outlook and investment opportunities in the emerging markets, the driving forces and prospect of China's economic growth, and the outlook of China's capital market and approaches to cope with volatility in the financial market.
Consisted of experts and scholars of international reputation and status, the IAC meets on annual basis. It has convened for the seventh time since CIC's inception in 2009.
